This project is perfect for working on colour selection and swatching for a larger fair isle project.
We’re advised that making a large swatch and swatching in the round are best practice when preparing for fair isle projects but the thought of wasting yarn puts knitters off doing both of these things. I made this slip case whilst trying out some colour combinations for a sleeveless vest pattern. There are no charted instructions in this download. It’s rather a recipe for making your own version of the slip case and is mostly likely to benefit less experienced knitters.

The sample shown is knitted in Jamiesons Spindrift 2ply and I recommend woollen spun fingering as it creates a close textured, firm fabric.
