Fair Isle Sweater

Materials: 6oz each of fawn and brown Shetland floss, and 2ozs. each of yellow, green, mauve, white, and red, one pair of No. 10 bone knitting needles.
Measurements: Length from the top of the shoulders, 29 1/2ins.; width all round chest, 40 ins., length of sleeve from neck, 25 ins.
Note: The pattern was originally published in Leach’s Men’s Wear. An early pattern for a man’s Fair Isle sweater, knitted from the bottom of the front, up and over the shoulders, down to the bottom of the back. Sleeves are cast on separately and knitted down from the top. The patterns used are charted.
