Fairfax House is a one of historic York’s most beautiful buildings. It was bought in 1759 by the ninth Viscount Fairfax of Emley for his only child, a daughter, so that she could own it herself - most unusual in her days! Master architect John Carr of York transformed the house into a fashionable Georgian townhouse.

Viscount Fairfax of Emley für sein einziges Kind, eine Tochter, gekauft und vermacht, so dass sie, ungewöhnlich in ihrer Zeit, es besitzen konnte! Der damalige Stararchitekte John Carr aus York hat dieses Haus dann zu einem eleganten Georgianischen Stadthaus ausgebaut.

The advent calendar has 25 (!!!) little bags to help the countdown to Christmas Day which can be filled to taste. Part of this package is also a set of Mini Christmas Decorations to decorate the house: Christmas trees, holly garlands, a wreath, stars and mini stockings. This is a separate pattern (follow link) but free with every purchase of this calendar!

Der Adventskalender hat 25 (!!!) kleine Täschchen, um das Warten bis zum Weihnachtstag zu versüßen. Teil des Sets sind Mini-Weihnachtsdekorationen, um das Haus zu schmücken: Weihnachtsbäume, Girlanden, einen Kranz, Sterne und Mini-Stockings/Stiefelchen. I chose an affordable pure wool with suitable shades for this project to ensure durability of this calendar!
