This is my design for a cushion cover using both fairisle (stranded colourwork) and intarsia techniques, inspired by my garden. I hope you like it.

I have used Ideal from Bergere de France which comes in a great range of colours but other DK yarns can be used giving the same tension.

You will need 3 x 50 g balls in main colour (approx 375metres)
and 1 x 50g ball in each of 3 other colours (apprx 125 metres of each)

This is enough to make both the cushion cover and the pin cushion.
If you just want to make the pincushion you will need 1 ball of each colour.

The cushion buttons across the front with 5 buttons and fits a 45 x 45cm cushion pad.

The pin cushion is approx 15cm x 15cm.
