Fairy Floss Freakshake
To make your own calorie-free sweet treat you’ll need:
2.5mm hook
Polyfil
DK/ sport weight cotton/acrylic blend yarn in
- SKY BLUE
- PALE BLUSH
- CORAL
- ROSE RED
- LILAC
- PALE GRAY
- WHITE
- BRIGHT RED
- BRIGHT YELLOW
- GREEN
Wool/mohair blend yarn of similar weight in color of choice (we want to fuzz this up later to make the cotton candy)
I held two strands of 50% Mohair, 30%Wool, 20% Fibre 170m/25g crochet thread together to attain a similar thickness to the DK weight cotton/acrylic yarn used for the rest of the project. Some suggestions include Garnstudio DROPS Kid-Silk, ONION Silk and Kid Mohair. Acrylic yarn works in a pinch — try Lion Brand Vanna’s Complement or New Basic 175.
Pet brush
Yarn needle
Scissors
3 Wooden skewers/stirrers
3 toothpicks (optional)
Stitch markers (optional)
Hot glue gun (optional)
Finished dimensions approx. 20cm tall and 15cm wide (excluding toppings and handle)
