Fairy Glen
by Emma Vining
“The angular twists and turns of this cable pattern are reminiscent of long lines of folded ribbons,” says Emma Vining. “The alternating textures within the cable shapes give the impression of the front and reverse of the ribbon. Each small section of angled ribbon is fixed in place by a four-stitch cable before the next part of the pattern begins. The ribbon lines move in the same direction on each side of the cardigan. A single line of twisted cable ribbons is worked in the centre of the back and the sleeves.”
