Fairy Trails Shawl or Cape
As parents of young kids, we were always happy to take a little “hiking vacation” in the woods. Skipping along stone paths, exploring moss gardens and traversing tiny trails encouraged imaginations to soar.
This Fairy Trails Shawl / Cape travels well to any occasion! Wear it as a shawl, or add a decorative pin, shawl pin, or attach magnetic snaps with a decorative button to secure as a cape.
And, if you’re a kid at heart, it works great as a scarf and shoulder cover. Centre garter panel is modifiable to increase wingspan.
Pattern creates a trapazoid shape.
This cape/shawl begins with the Left Side, increasing every RS row until it reaches full width; the Right Side narrows down with decreases every RS row to the tip.
Garter sections may be complimented with optional glitter (or mohair), alternating with Stockinette sections throughout the cape/shawl.
The Stockinette sections include strips of texture.
The upper edge has an integrated I Cord Border.
