This pretty summer top is worked from the top down and features reverse stockinette with sleeves that incorporate drop stitches pattern.

Because most knitters find it easier to knit rather than purl, the pattern is written “inside out”. Make sure to keep the tails on the knit side of the work and simply turn the top right side out at the end.

While knitting this top, be adventurous and adjust the drop stitch pattern on the sleeves or follow the row instructions of the pattern.

Sizes:
XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL) - 34 (36, 38, 40, 44, 48, 52)” chest

Gauge: 16 sts/4” in stockinette
(keep in mind that you are working most of the top in the round and most knitters gauge is tighter when working in the round)

Suggested Yarns: Lion Brand Cotton-Ease, Garnstudion DROPS Bomull-Lin, Berroco Weekend, Cascade Sierra, Cascade Venezia
Please note that some of the suggested yarns have a “standard” gauge of 18 sts/4” but if worked on a size larger needle than suggested, it will knit up at 16 sts/4”

Yardage:
550 (650, 700, 800, 9000, 1000, 1100) yards

Needles:
U.S. 8 (4.5 mm) - 24” & 32” circular needle
U.S. 6 (4 mm) - 16”, 32” circular needle
U.S. 6 (4 mm) – DPN
Optional: U.S. 0 or 1 (2 mm or 2.5 mm) – 24” circular needle
