Falbala is a baby shawl to wrap your shoulders or warm your neck. As it is built from the bottom tip up, you can easily change the dimension to fit your need and preference.
You can also choose your yarn : fine merino (like “Boud’Chou” from Plassard) for a great stitch pattern definition and drape, or mohair (like “Pichenette” from Plassard) for an aerial look and feel.

The wing-span of the sample shawl is approximately 150 cms 59” with a 65 cm 25 1/2” width at the tip.

The pattern includes a step by step photos explanations, and a diagram for the central panel.

Falbala est proposé ici dans une version “mini châle”, pour réchauffer les épaules ou le cou selon les circonstances.
Le modèle présenté mesure 150 cm de large x 65 de haut.
Sa construction démarrée par la pointe permet cependant de l’agrandir aux dimensions d’un grand châle si vous le souhaitez.

La réalisation dans un fil fin et sec comme le merinos “Boud’Chou” de Plassard met le point en valeur, et donne un beau tombant. En mohair fin (comme “Pichenette”), c’est un châle “poids plume” qui reste cependant bien chaud.
