You can choose to knit little apples or pumpkins, making this a perfect go-to hat for autumn whether you’re picking apples at the orchard or pumpkins at the patch. The apple design also makes a great gift for that special teacher in your life. And if you’re making the pumpkin version, there are options to make taller pumpkins or shorter versions that look more like gourds. So many fun possibilities to celebrate the season!

US 9 (5.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needles, or size needed to meet gauge

US 10.5 (6.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needles, or size needed to meet gauge

US 10.5 (6.5 mm) double-pointed needles (dpns) or US 10.5 (6.5 mm) circular knitting needles with a longer cord for Magic Loop method, or size needed to meet gauge
