Fall for Baktus (Baktus for Fall) - is a knitted on a bias shawlette. Baktus, in general, is very practical accessory when cold seasons come. This baktus would be great addition to elegant outfit or charming throw over the jacket or coat.
This is an adjustable shawl, which could be longer or shorter to the taste of the knitter. The combination of slipped stitches and yarn over create distinctive ridges. The shifted stockinette and garter stitches express beautiful relief pattern. The pointy lacy edge along the shawl brings the charm. It could be made out of one color, or stripes could be added by different color. Or gradient colors would make beautiful flow.
This baktus is a combination of simplicity and elegance just need appropriate yarn for appropriate season - wool for colder seasons and silk, cotton or other modern yarns for warmer seasons.
Everybody has own favorite yarn, the pattern should be only one of the tools to execute your visions. I would suggest - choose something you already like or something you never tried, but wanted to. For the best expression I would recommend any worsted or DK weight yarn.
