Crochet Pattern ONLY

Materials used/needed:

Hook: H/5.0mm
Yarn: Worsted weight #4 yarn between 200-230 yards
I used Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek in Mustard and
Big Twist Value in Orange, Purple and White
Measuring tape
Scissors
Pom pom (optional)
Yarn needle for sewing in ends.

Finished Size: 10” across at the brim, 10 ½” in height.

 
Pattern Notes:

US Terminology Used

Gauge is not important. However, using a different weight yarn and hook will give you a different size.

The Ch.1 at the beginning of each round DOES NOT count as a stitch.

The end of each round is joined to the 1st stitch with a slip stitch (sl st)

When doing the Bean rounds, keep your tension fairly loose.

Stitch counts are for the Adult size, but can be made for any size. Refer to the sizing chart below.

The brim (band) of the beanie has quit a bit of stretch. If making for someone else, go 1”-2” down from the size needed.

i.e. I have a big head (23”)…  I made my band to 21” and it fit perfectly. 

There are 2 options for this hat, standard and slouchy. Refer to the chart below.

This pattern is worked from the brim (band) up.

There will be instructions (in bold) of when to turn and when NOT to turn. Pay close attention to those instructions.
