In the Army, the command “Fall in” causes the Soldier to create the formation. When done properly, there is nothing out of place. The rows and columns line up. Thus, the rows on this sock.

Fall in is a half-step up in difficulty from At Ease. Since the patatern is so basic, the yarn is the star as well. The pattern is easy to memorize, which frees you up to socialize. This is my go-to if I’m working with a new yarn and want to know how a yarn knits up.
