A modern take on a classic silhouette, the Fall Line Cardigan is an open cardigan with a ribbed shawl collar and matching rib on the body and the sleeves. The more-ish, simple stitches knit in bouncy DK weight wool are the perfect balance of easy knitting, interesting and intuitive, just-one-more-row, knitting.

The cardigan is worked flat, from the top down, seamlessly working both the collar trim and the stockinette body at the same time with raglan style shaping. The decorative, traveling, 2-stitch cables separate the upper stockinette section of the cardigan with the 2×2 ribbing of the lower section. Sleeves are worked in the round with the same crossing stitch and ribbed pattern, which lines up perfectly with the body pattern.

Timeless design, intentional shaping, several options for sleeve fit and simple finishing means the Fall Line Cardigan will fit both you and your wardrobe perfectly!

Pattern includes shaping map and progress charts for each size, both written and charted stitch pattern with tutorials to match, construction overview and modification notes, finished garment measurements and schematic, and instructions for both straight and tapered sleeves.

SIZING / EASE / FIT
Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4) ⁅5, 6, 7⁆ {8, 9} to fit

Your body’s full bust circumference
74 (84, 94, 104) ⁅114, 124, 134⁆ {144, 155} cm
29 (33, 37, 41) ⁅45, 49, 53⁆ {57, 61} in

To determine the best size to knit, choose a size which is closest to your body’s upper bust measurement. If you are between sizes, size down.

Fall Line Cardigan is designed 9cm | 3.5in positive ease at the fullest part of the bust (not including collar trim), and will fit best with similar or less ease. The nature of the open cardigan (not usually worn closed at the middle) and wide collar trim gives the feel and appearance of more positive ease.
