Warm, soft, fingerless mitts knit in the round with a Southwest style color stranded pattern. Capra DK yarn is used in this mitt in a Merino / Cashmere blend. Wonderful to knit with, and an easy mitt to make. This pattern is wonderful for the adventurous beginning knitter wanting to master new skills. Size fits the average ladies hand. May need to change needle sizes up or down to fit gauge.

Needles: Size US 1.5 {2.50 mm} and size US 2.5 {3.00mm} double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 28 sts x 36 rows = 4” x 4” in stockinette stitch on size 2.5 DPNs, worked in the round.

Supplies: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, and scrap yarn.

Yarn: Knit Picks Capra DK (123 yards / 50 grams; 85% Merino / 15% Cashmere), Knit Picks Swish DK (123 yards / 50 grams; 100% Superwash Merino). Wash by hand in cool water, air dry flat. Any nice fiber in a DK weight or any colors can be used.
