FALLAL hat
There is a matching cowl which is available on it’s own or as part of an ebook.
SKILL:
According to the CYC, cables are an intermediate knitting skill but I think an adventurous beginner could tackle this. :)
YARN:
Approximately 130-150 yds (120-140 m) of bulky weight yarn.
Sample uses Quince & Co, Puffin in Honey.
Note: I highly recommend a yarn that will block well otherwise the top of your cable might not lay properly.
GAUGE:
15 sts x 20 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stocking stitch with larger needles, blocked
NEEDLES:
US #10 / 6 mm and US #9 / 5.5 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
ADDITIONAL TOOLS:
1 stitch marker to indicate beginning of rnd, cable needle
FINISHED DIMENSIONS:
Approx 20” / 51 cm around (unstretched, above ribbing) x 12” / 30.5 cm high.
Pattern is fully charted and has complete written instructions.
The pattern is set up so you don’t need to print every page so look before printing. :)
FALLAL - fal-lal - a bit of finery; a showy article of dress
