Interlacing cables and cascading showers of bobbles mimic falling stars in this elevated beanie—lending a bit of romance to the simple act of keeping your head warm. Inspired by the Enya song Fallen Embers, this quick knit is the perfect showcase for an extra-special single skein of DK-weight yarn.

Pattern has been tech edited and tested.

Sample shown used approximately 140 yards of DK-weight yarn. Sport or worsted weight yarn can also be used if gauge is met.
Some of my test knitters found the bobble listed in the Special Stitches section difficult to work, so I have included links to alternative bobble techniques in the Tutorials section.
