Fallen Twigs
Inspired by a walk through the woods, this cowl illustrates the beauty of something as simple as fallen twigs laying gently over one another.
A thick double-sided cowl perfect for the coldest weather, with as many options as you can imagine colors. The pattern has been designed to show opposing color dominance on the reverse side.
Charted and written instructions are provided.
Gauge: 17 sts and 24 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch blocked with US 7 (4.5 mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Finished Sizes: Approximately 8” (20.5 cm) wide and 25” (63.5 cm) long.
Yarn: ewe2yarn, Truffle DK, 231 yards (211 meters) per 3.5 oz (100 g) skein in 2 different colors. The sample is shown in hand-painted selections.
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) straight or circular as preferred, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Crochet hook in similar gauge for provisional cast on.
Gauge needle in straight or circular as preferred to pick up provisionally cast on stitches for Kitchener stitch.
