This shawl resembles the Bead Lightning Shawl excepting that it comes in one size and there are only charts and no written instructions to follow.
Sometimes inspiration for a new design hits you like a bolt of lightning…literally! As I was sitting on my balcony with some maroon yarn and matching beads struggling to come up with a unique design, a flash of lightning struck nearby. Thankfully, instead of the lightning, an idea struck me!

Bead lightning! Lightning in which the intensity appears to vary along the path and which resembles a string of beads! I have named this piece “Fallgora” as a little play on words for the Roman goddess of lightning, “Fulgora.” The pattern appears as panels of vertical and horizontal bolts of lightning when it is worn.

Great for a beginner to become familiar with working with lace and beads and an advanced knitter who likes elegance and the drape that beads lend.
Beads are strung before knitting.
Seed beads, size 6.
564 beads to be exact with a little extra
