Knitted top down and seamlessly using 8ply / DK weight yarn, the Falling Leaves jersey has a simple stranded colourwork pattern of leaves cascading down the circular yoke.

Sized from newborn through to 12 years, this pattern offers exceptional value. Both charted and written instructions are provided and there are three charts available depending on the size you are knitting.

The colourwork works best with two strongly contrasting colours or a gradient yarn, this pattern will soon become a go to pattern.

Contruction
The smaller three sizes (newborn, 3 months and 6 months) are worked flat with a button band on the shoulder before being worked in the round down.

All other sizes are worked in the round from the neckline down and have short row shaping before splitting for the sleeves.

Sizing
This jersey has approximately 5 cm or 2 inches of positive ease built into it so it can easily fit over other layers and is designed to be long in the body to keep little tummies warm.
