Falling Leaves Shawlette
Wrap this like a scarf or neckerchief around one’s neck in a sporty manner or drape it across your shoulders like a small shawl.
This is another piece to knit using my new technique of working two rows in the same direction. This stitch looks like a cross between ribbing and garter stitch - beautiful ridges and valleys in the fabric!
Both sides of the fabric look the same and it tends to open and spread out like ribbing and garter stitch.
The inserted leaves are done in garter stitch short rows.
Color A (which includes the leaves) uses about 200 yards and Color B (contrast color) uses about 150 yards.
If you want a larger shawl use a heavier weight yarn and appropriate size needles. Approximately 400 yards of A and 300 yards of B will make a shawl with about 21inch depth in the back.
Pattern directions are written out and includes 4 pages.
