Shrug construction – a lace panel is worked first, then stitches are picked up along the sides of the panel and the body/sleeve of the shrug is worked perpendicular to the central panel. The sleeves are created by grafting the body/sleeve panels after blocking. An I-Cord edge is worked to provide a finished appearance to the sleeve openings. The sleeve stitches are grafted together, and the central body opening is bound off using a lace bind off.

This pattern is written for a 6-skein Unique Sheep Gradiance Set. One skein is used for the central panel, and the remaining 5 skeins are divided equally for the body/sleeves.

This pattern can be sized up or down, and instructions are given in the pattern for making size adjustments.
