Falling Petals Shawl is a elegant simple to knit pattern that will bring a touch of romance to any outfit. The dips in the lace stripes remind me of petals gently falling from it’s flower. The border creats this beautiful edging looking like the flower leaves.

Using alternating colors and stripes mixed with lace will have you not wanting to put down this project down, saying just one more stripe. This is a great pattern for beginners and a great gateway into learning lace.

It is great for all those scrappy knitting lovers out there. You can either

• For a classic option: You can use 1 main color of 400 yards and 2 Contrasting Colors of 200 yards

• For a scrappy option: you can use 1 main color of 400 yards , 7 10g minis for the petal rows, and 3 20g minis for the boarder, changing color each time you start a new section
