This is a crochet hat in all sizes including newborn-adult, that features the beautiful star stitch.

The hat is worked in one piece sideways, with the ribbing attached as you go, and then the piece is seamed together along one seam. The sideways construction means that the hat is quite stretchy and one size should fit a range of head circumferences.

The shaping of the hat is achieved by working short rows, which means you get a snug fit without fabric bunched up on top of the head.
