Correction to Pattern: Where it says to ch7 (or ch 9) and dc in 5th chain from hook and next 3 ch, it should read ch 7 (or ch9), dc in 5th ch from hook and in next 2 ch instead. Apologies for the error, I’ll try and get a corrected version uploaded soon.

This variation on the box stitch is worked from the bottom point up allowing you to easily choose the size of the finished item, from a small neck scarf to a full sized shawl.

It creates an elongated triangle, approximately three times wider side to side than top to bottom, allowing neck scarves to be tied without too much bulk thru the point and large shawls to wrap around the body without the point being too low.
