What is it on the ground, between yellowed leaves? Did it fall from the tree or was it growing on the ground? Is it an apple or is it a little pumpkin? Find your own answers using your own creativity, and with help of this pattern!
This pattern contains instructions for fingerless and regular mittens. They are knitted bottom-up, in the round and embellished with embroidery by duplicating knitted stitches. Another decoration is a corrugated ribbing which is located on the cuff, the thumb and the top of the hand.The pattern contains clear and full instructions and links to captioned video tutorials.

Techniques and skills involved:
- knitting in the small round
- elastic cast on (proposed in the video or one of your choice)
- backwards loop cast on
- Icelandic bind off (or traditional bind off with purl stitches)
- corrugated/two-colored ribbing
- leaning increases with yarn over (or other leaning increases, like M1R/M1L)
- decreases: k2tog, SKP
- embroidery on knitting by duplicating stitches

How to figure out your size: measure your palm with measuring tape across the widest part at the base of it (where the thumb begins, including it).
These mittens could be worn with the range from +7% to -7% positive or negative ease. Anyways, this is a matter of taste and you can choose any size and any fit.
S-M fingerless mittens:

Why is my gauge so precise?
I believe that the most accurate method to determine the gauge is to measure the whole length and width of the blocked swatch and to divide each value correspondingly to the amount of the stitches and rows/rounds that you made to create your swatch. In this case, you will get fractions. Rounding these fractions to smaller or bigger whole numbers will lead to inaccurate measurements of the finished object. Only the sum of all the stitches and rows/rounds used to make an object could be rounded to maximum half of the whole number.
