Inspired by the classic cable hats, popular in the fishing villages of Cornwall, The Falmouth Harbour Hat is knitted in worsted weight yarn, in the round, from the brim up.
Featuring a deep 1x1 rib brim, folded for extra protection against those cruel sea winds.
The pattern is both written and charted.

The sample is made from 185m (190 yards) of Cumbria, by The Fibre Company, in colour Scafell Pike.
One 100g hank is plenty.

Suggested needles;
3.75mm (US 5) for ribbing
4.5mm (US 7) for cable pattern

The lightly blocked sample, laid flat, measures 23.5 cm (9.2”) across the brim and 25 cm (9.8”) from base to crown and is seen in the photos on a 56cm (22”) head.
