This pattern is a Celebration of Motherhood (like a birthstone ring) designed in collaboration with The Fiber Faerie for her Magical Pixies Mini Collection. Magical Pixies Minis are a collection of 100yd jewel toned fingering weight mini skeins dyed the color of each month’s birthstone and paired with black that really makes the jewel tones pop.
There are 5 stitch patterns. Written instructions and charts are included for each.
You will need approximately 400 yds of fingering weight yarn.
Size 2.5(3.00mm) 24” circular needles.

Finished Measurements: 32” circumference, about 9” tall unblocked (height will vary).
34” circumference x 11” tall lightly blocked. Could easily block longer if desired.
There are additional instructions to make a tighter fitting cowl if prefered.

Choose the colors that correspond with the birthstones of the children in the family you are knitting this for. Some cowls will be longer than others depending on how many minis (children) you have. And there are other choices to make along the way that will help make your cowl as unique as your family.
The Birthstone Cowl is knit in the round like the circle of life, using different stitch patterns and separated by ridges of garter stitch.
