I created this blanket to combine my love of crochet and genealogy. The textured design is reminiscent of a family tree diagram. I chose colors that remind me of earth and sky, to symbolize the family here with us on earth and ancestors that have passed on. Rather than a clean break between the two colorways, there is symbolic overlap in the middle.

Best part? I designed this to be fully reversible! Following the pattern stitches, the textured tree design will show on both sides of the blanket.

Many of the women in my family who came before me were crocheters, knitters, and seamstresses - I hope this design honors their legacy. And I hope you enjoy making it too!
