Fan Bracelet with bead button
In UK crochet terms but with notes as to how to translate to US terms also.
This pattern is very versatile and can be made with a larger hook (2.5mm or 3.5mm) and a larger yarn (2/3/4 ply) for a different effect or for a less experienced crocheter. Working with a small hook and thread can be daunting, give it a go with a larger weight thread and hook first to get the idea if you would like to.
I was inspired to make this when I saw pictures of a similar bracelet on Pinterest published. You may have also seen them and been disappointed, like me, to discover the instructions were in German! Eek! It looked fairly simple so I tried a few variations before coming up with this final pattern.
This pattern also teaches you how to make an integral button by crocheting around a bead. When I first started making this pattern I was sewing buttons onto the end, but as a very lazy person I wanted an easier way of doing it. I couldn’t find a pattern to make a button like this anywhere, so I thought I would work it out myself. Now you don’t need to because I have! A very handy skill to know.
Make them in every colour, and make them a little longer to make a pretty matching necklace.
You have permission to sell items you have made from this pattern but please put a link back to my pattern. Thanks!
