Fan Out Cowl
Fan Out is a swish of a cowl that can be worn over or under a coat to block the cold wind. It begins with ribbing in the round, transitions to flat knitting with no-wrap short rows for shaping and then some increases to form the dramatic sweep across the front. Sew a small seam at the shoulder or leave it open. You’ll need 125 yards of a heavy worsted or Aran weight yarn and a size 9 (5.5 mm) circular to knit the cowl. Finished size: 17” around neck (unstretched) x 16.8” long at front.
