The Fancy Cosy mitten is an intermediate mitten pattern - a next step on from my Chunky Cosy mitten and includes a simple cable pattern. A great intro to cosy cables if you’ve not tried them before!

The Fancy Cosy Mitten is knitted from the cuff to the fingers using the magic loop technique.

The mitten pattern comes in Sizes: 1 (2) to fit a hand circumference (measured at the widest part of the palm):
7–7.5 (7.5–8) inches / 17.5–19 (19–20.5) cm and to fit a hand length 6.5 (7.25) inches / 16.5 (18.5) cm and the length can be adjusted.

Suggested yarn: Crazy Sexy Wool by Wool & The Gang OR The Wool from We Are Knitters OR any chunky weight yarn that gives similar gauge

Yardage: One ball of suggested yarn: approx 55–60 metres (75–80 metres)

Suggested needle: 10 mm (US 15) needle (with 60 cm or longer cable) or size to meet gauge

Gauge: 8 stitches and 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm or 4 x 4”
