This is a dishcloth so there is no gauge requirement. Therefore you can use whatever size needle you are most comfortable using when knitting with cotton yarn. I use a size US3 and I am a loose knitter and this keeps my cotton yarn looking pretty tight.

Any type of color combination of yarn can be used as there is no hidden picture in this pattern.
