These delicate lacy socks combine quatrefoil eyelets with a ruffled edge for a whimsically elegant sock.

Size:
• This pattern includes two sizes: 48-stitch, which will fit younger children; and 64-stitch, which will fit most women. To adjust fit, go up or down a needle size based on your preferences.
• While the pattern only includes full instructions for 48-stitch and 64-stitch, which are optimum for the lace pattern, there are shorthand instructions for modifying the pattern for different sizes (40-stitch, 56-stitch, and 72-stitch).

Needles:
• I used 2.25mm (US size 1) needles, but please use whichever size of sock needles works for you.
• 32-inch-long or 40-inch-long circular needles for magic loop.

Gauge:
Approximately 8 stitches per inch.

Notions:
• Tapestry needle

Yarn:
• Any fingering weight (1: superfine) yarn, or sock yarn, that includes nylon will work for this pattern.
The samples I made used:
• Valkyrie Fibers, Matte Sock (fingering weight, 4 ply, 463 yards per 100g skein, 75% superwash merino wool and 25% nylon), in the colorway “Morning of Pale Spring.”
• 48-stitch: 162 yards, 35g, used.
• 64-stitch: 296 yards, 64g, used.

Skills Needed:
Perfect for intermediate sock knitters, this pattern utilizes:
• Knitting and purling
• Increasing and decreasing
