This is a toe up sock with a German Short Row Heel. The pattern is written for magic loop. Needle 1 will be the top of the foot and front of the leg. Needle 2 will be the bottom of the foot, heel, and back of the leg.

I love a little something extra on a sock, and with this one it is a bit of colorwork at the toe and cuff. I had this holiday yarn I dyed up a few yarn back, and when I got to looking at it, I thought it needed a bit of festive kick.

It is a good idea to weigh your CC before your first sock, and then after each CC section, to ensure you will have enough for your pair of socks.

Gauge:

75/25 sock yarn (464 yds/100g): 32 sts and 42 rnds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round on US #1/2.25mm needles

80/20 sock yarn (400 yds/100g): 30 sts and 44 rnds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round on US #1/2.25mm needles

Sizes:

Sizes: 1 (2, 3)

75/25 sock yarn:
Actual sock circumference: 7 (8, 9)”
To Fit: 8 (9, 10)” around ball of foot. You want your sock to have about 10% negative ease around and 10% negative ease for length.

80/20 sock yarn:
Actual sock circumference: 7.5 (8.5, 9.6)”
To Fit: 8.5 (9.5, 10.6)” around ball of foot. You want your sock to have about 10% negative ease around and 10% negative ease for length.
