Fanfare - Some like it HOT
I was asked to take a class for an annual knitting retreat held in Taupo, New Zealand. As part of this class I was to teach the basics of knitting in the round on circular needles, or help people refine some skills to help simplify this technique. So I thought; perfect timing to design and release a new pattern at the same time. I had a vision of a tapered cowl with a simple yet elegant lace repeat. My aim was to design a flattering cowl that had some shape around the bottom and allowed the lace work to shine, while at the same time having a simple repeat. Although it looks complex, the construction is quite simple and easy to memorise as you go. I have included some YOUTUBE links at the end of the pattern to show some of the techniques* used in this pattern.
