Description

Modular mittens composed of fan (also known as shell) shaped units. Subtle shaping around the thumb makes for a comfortable fit. This project seems to go a little faster than the Diamond Patch mittens because the fans are larger than the mitered squares and it’s difficult to put these down in mid-piece.

Tips

It’s very important to achieve the correct gauge–9 sts/1”. And, be sure to use itty bitty ends when joining new strands of yarn; no use wasting any of that precious handpaint yarn.
