I have always loved the look of stranded fabric and, through many botched projects, have become very comfortable knitting it. This particular hat is one of my first stranded patterns that utilizes more than 2 colors. The hat pictured uses Wool of the Andes Worsted in Caution, Evergreen, Victorian, and White.

This hat is knit in the round with a traditional Fair Isle pattern. The knitter has a choice of creating a snug fitting beanie or a beanie that slouches. No matter the type of beanie the knitter chooses to make, the garment will provide warmth and fold to fit easily in a coat pocket.
