About the Pattern

The Fantasy Pullover is a top down, yoke style sweater, which uses DK yarn and a very elastic style of hem that will offer both a flattering fit, and comfortable drape. This pattern was written for use with Lion Brand Mandala yarn, but any size 3 yarn will do. The fabric works into a beautiful texture with a soft, elastic finish.

There is no sewing or joining, as this sweater is worked entirely in one piece, with new rounds beginning in the center of the back and insides of the sleeves. It is an excellent project for advanced beginner to intermediate level crocheters who are nervous to step into sweater and garment making.

Sizing

All of the stitch counts are provided, so no measuring or math is necessary along the way! Just choose a size that works for you, and follow the pattern. If you’re comfortable adjusting sizes to make your own custom fit, this pattern works excellent for that given just how simple it is to adjust.

Note: Body width is 1/2 the circumference of the hips. It is measured by laying the sweater flat and measuring across the front. Diagrams are included in the pattern, and in the preview images.

Small:
Body Length: 20.5 in
Body Width: 17.5 in
Sleeve Length: 18.5 in
Upper Arm width: 5.5 in

Medium:
Body Length: 22 in
Body Width:18 in
Sleeve Length: 20 in
Upper Arm width: 6 in

Large:
Body Length: 23.5 in
Body Width: 18.5 in
Sleeve Length: 21.5 in
Upper Arm width: 6.5 in

XLarge:
Body Length: 25 in
Body Width: 19 in
Sleeve Length: 21.5 in
Upper Arm width: 7 in

Gauge is worked as 6 rows of 12 dc across, and should make a 3 inch square. Recommended hook is size H (5 mm).

Yardage

Yardage is split into two types of yarn. The Mandala yarn, and the Solid yarn that will be used for hems. Yarn requirements are approximated mathematically and may vary based on individual tension.

Lion Brand Mandala Yarn:
Small: ~750 yds (2 skein)
Med: ~970 yds (2 skein)
Large: ~1225 yds (3 skein)
XL: ~1440 yds (3 skein)

Solid color complimentary DK yarn:
Small: ~145 yds
Med: ~160 yds
Large: ~175 yds
XL: ~190 yds
