Faraway is a lovely little fairy. Her dress is based on an oak tree leaf design and inspired by my imagination of a fairy in the Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton. Faraway is also available in my collection of Enchanted Flower Fairies available as a separate e-book download:

With full instructions on knitting a cute little fairy dolly with a removable dress and wings. The pattern is knitted flat and seamed afterwards.
The oak leaves have only one cast off end so no worry on having loads of ends on leaf to weave in. I choose not to add leaves to her hair but if you want to, make up two to four more following the small wing pattern and attach as a hairband.

This pattern is more suitable for a knitter with some experience. Keep to an even tension for a smooth appearance. If you are a loose knitter either use a smaller needle or a thicker yarn. In this case I would suggest aran or worsted and the doll measurements may knit up slightly larger over all.

What you will need:

Materials Required
DK yarn in dark green, light green and a skin colour
The hair was made using Yarn Bee in Buttercream, from the USA but other similar yarn will give the same effect.
Scraps of black and green for eyes and pink for mouth.
Toy safety filling
A small button for the dress

Notions required
3mm knitting needles
Tapestry needle

Finished size
14.5 inches approx

In addition to the ebook collection of three patterns there is also an ongoing pattern offer-
