Farmer's Market Bag

This pattern is available as a free Ravelry download

This is a simple solid-and-mesh market bag, with a buttoned tab and a shoulder strap that’s a bit different than usual. This is more recipe than full-on pattern, since it’s customizable. One size rarely fits all. Pictured- 5 large cans in the bag, being held by my 9 year old. It’s much more proportional on me, but it’s too hard to take my own pics.
This started as a circle I planned on using as a dishcloth, but since I kept going (just to see how far the small ball of cotton would go); I gave it a shot at making up a bag. I hadn’t found any bags that I really liked lately, so here’s some info you will need:

• Cotton, worsted-weight yarn (2 balls of Sugar n’ Cream/Peaches n’ Cream is more than enough)
• “H” hook
• “I” Tunisian hook, or a straight handled regular hook (no thumb rest)-There is a section of Tunisian Knit Stitch, which is simple to learn.
• 4 stitch holders
• US Terminology used
