This makes a bag that measures approximately 12” tall (23” tall including the straps) and about 17” in circumference.

Double stranded throughout.

I switched colors for the main mesh part and used two strands of the same color for the base, top, and straps. You can make the entire bag with double strand of one color, switch colors every round, really it is up to you!

Gauge is not necessarily important for this project.
