Farmhouse Pumpkins
These Farmhouse Pumpkins are sure to add some rustic charm to your fall decor!
This would be considered an advanced beginner to intermediate skill level pattern. Novice sewing skills are required. You must be familiar with fphdc and bphdc!
Materials:
You will need #5 bulky yarn, large plastic tapestry/yarn needle, scissors, 5.00 mm crochet hook, poly-fill for stuffing, cinnamon sticks, hot glue gun, hot glue gun sticks, twine, and various embellishments such as vintage jewelry or store-bought pendants.
Let’s talk yarn:
You will need 125 yards of #5 bulky yarn. You can use #4 worsted weight yarn but be aware that your pumpkin size will vary and the ridges on your finished pumpkin may not be as predominant. I used 125 yards of left over Bernat pop in the color Hot Chocolate for one of the pumpkins. I used 125 yards of Department 71 Vanity yarn in the color Caramel for the other pumpkin.
Final Measurements:
This is a one size pattern. Your finished pumpkin will measure 5 inches tall by 6 inches wide when using a 5.00 mm crochet hook and #5 bulky yarn.
Gauge:
Gauge is not important for this pattern!
Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
Hdc: half double crochet
Fphdc: front post half double crochet
Bphdc: back post half double crochet
