NOTES
This pullover is knit from sleeve cuff to sleeve cuff. The sleeve and side seams are sewn and then the hem is picked up and worked downward in the round.
(For full length sleeves cast on as written, and work even for desired length before beginning the increases.)
Finished Measurements
36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56” finished hip circumference.
Pullover shown measures 36”.
Materials
650 (700, 800, 850, 925, 975) yards Aran Weight yarn
Shown here:
Green Mountain Spinnery Maine Organic (100% wool; 250 yd 228 m/4 oz): Dark 3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 4) skeins.
Needles
Body and Sleeves: Size US 8 (5 mm): 24” circular or straight needles.
Edging: US 5 (3.75 mm): 24” circular needles.
Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions required
Markers, stitch holders, waste yarn, tapestry needle.
Gauge
16 sts and 20 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch on larger needles.
14 sts and 20 rows = 4” in pattern measured after blocking.
