This pattern is for any loomer who knows the basics. Casting on, U-wrap knit, E-wrap knit, purl and binding off are the only skills necessary. No confusing abbreviations are used and no special pattern knowledge is needed. Unlike many loom knit hats, this does not have the bunched up yarn at the crown that you get with the basic gathered bind off!

The pattern is written for a 48 peg large gauge loom (48 peg 5/8 Cindwood Loom was used in the sample photos) using #5 bulky or #6 super bulky weight yarn. At the end of the detailed instructions is a shortened set of instructions to refer to once you are familiar with the details.
