Fascinating Rhythm Shawl
Get into the Fascinating Rhythm of this elegant top down shawl. Its simple lines and repeating structure will keep your interest and is straightforward enough to work on while holding a conversation.
This simple top down triangular shawl uses approximately 815 yards of Fingering weight or 525yards of Aran weight yarn to create a large, casual shawl, that is as fun to knit as it is to wear.
It’s elegant design and mirroring repeats are easily memorized making this project ideal for newer knitters, experienced knitters looking for a simple project, knit alongs and of course movie night!
“Fascinating rhythm, You’ve got me on the go!”
A note about gauge:
The lacework in this piece are both simple and forgiving. Choose the needle size that gives you the fabric in the stockinette section of the shawl that is your preference. If you like a solid fabric go with a smaller needle, if you like a looser fabric go larger. I prefer a fairly open stockinette giving the garment lots of drape and swing. I tend to be a loose knitter so a size 6 needle for the fingering weight yarn worked best for me. Gauge is more about preference in this shawl than accuracy. Just be sure to leave yourself enough yarn at the end of the garment to incorporate a pretty little picot bind off.
