Materials and Stitches
Size 2 (2.75) knitting needles
Herrschners Afghan 2 ply yarn size 2 (fine) 2 oz (56g) skein.
I used about half a skein to make all four sets.
Color, 0050 Emerald
Gauge on package :
Knit, 24 stitches =4 in US size 4 Needles.
Crochet 20 sc= 4 in Size E-4 hook
I used size 2 (2.75) knitting needles and my gauge was 6 stitches to the inch.
Knit stitches used:
k-------------knit
p-------------purl
yo-----------yarn over
sl------------slip
LS-----------left selvedge (p1, sl knitwise)
RS---------- right selvedge (sl 1, p)
Inc----------increase (knit into front and back of stitch)

These selvedge stitches form an attractive finished panel on each edge of the work to use for the back closing.
I knit both pieces flat. The skirt has a back seam to sew up and the sweater is open in back to make it easier to dress the newer dolls spread open hands, do not join.
All patterns are knit from the top down.
