This is a very simple cowl that is knit and then a crocheted edge added to it. Make it with the crocheted edge or without!

You can use any super bulky yarn that you would like to.

Gauge is not that important. Just as long as you end with a row count that’s a multiple of 4 plus 1. I give more measurements in the pattern for how big your piece should be before seaming the one seam.

This cowl will be a perfect first project for you if you’re a beginning knitter and crocheter. It’s very simple and I have a photo tutorial for how to place the scallops on the edges.

It is knit flat then seamed into the cowl and then the crocheted edge is added.

You need to know how to knit and how to make a double crochet stitch and a single crochet stitch. That’s it!!!

This cowl pattern is perfect for a more experienced knitter if you need a super fast gift. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to make from start to finish.
