Have you been wanting to try the new ‘Fade’ craze but not sure how to start? Want to see how your colors will blend before you use them in a larger project? Have a lot of mini skeins you love but want to use them in something more than just have them get lost in your scrap blanket? Love scrappy projects? Need a quick mindless knit for gifting? This is the perfect knit for you!
I designed these fun and scrappy socks with all of these things in mind and wanted a way to showcase my collection of minis in something I was proud to show off and wear! These can be altered in so many ways! Feel free to play up the pattern! More or less color changes, change up the sequence, make thinner or fatter stripes depending on your scraps! Make them longer! It’s all up to you! Use this pattern as your basic recipe and explore from there. The number of cast-on stitches can easily be adjusted for every member of your family.
This pattern is a fading recipe that you can use in your favorite toe up knitting as well. Choose your favorite heel pattern to use, Fish Lips Kiss, Heel Flap and Gusset, After-thought (like I used in the sample) they all work great with this faded look
A vanilla sock with a bit of interest!
I cant wait to see what you create! Happy Knitting! Love, Molly xoxo
