Fast Tracks
For Renee, who asked how to make 6 ply Tracks.
A quick and versatile “go to” sock pattern for 6 ply sock yarn. Thicker than “Sport” but thinner than “DK/Light Worsted” yarn, 6 ply sock yarn is available in many brands, including Opal, Regia, Trekking, ONline and Austermann.
Like Tracks, Fast Tracks works for variegated, self-striping, semi-solid and solid sock yarn. The ribbing sections, down the back of the leg and down the front of the leg and foot, ensure a stretchy sock that clings nicely and fits a range of sizes.
Four heel flap options are included and I’ve also added guidelines for using 1 or 2 circs instead of DPNs.
Approximate time per sock 6 - 7 hours. Testers used appox 70 - 120 gm of yarn for a pair.
Thank you for testing:
